Milagro Saints, a Raleigh "Americana/Folk Rock/Rock" band, are playing Sadlack's tonight at 7ish.
Though Sadlack's ain't what it was, warm weather and live music by local bands with a following remain their sweet spot. Plus, the bathrooms are much improved over the 20th Century hell pits!
I'll be there drinking beer and enjoying Raleigh's polleinated air. Yay!
Update:
Two solid sets from a very strong act.
Nice crowd even with The Crawl in process. We apparently missed a wave of participants that totally jammed the spot so it was busy but manageable which makes me wonder if The Crawl is becoming less popular.
Note: The Crawl is an NC State tradition in which, at the end of the semester, State students start at one end of the section of HIllsborough across from State (near the Belltower) and work their way to the other end (not sure how far that goes) having a drink at each place that sells alcohol. I see kids skip certain spots but the hardcore still include convenience stores and the like in their travels.
