Starmount at Sadlack's Heroes

I saw a local band, Starmount, last evening at Sadlack's.

Very accomplished musicians, sort of a jazz fusion with country moments supplied by a lap steel guitar, though mostly it doesn't come across as a country sound.

An electric banjo player sat in for the last few songs and he didn't sound like a banjo player either!

They attracted a nice crowd and Tony supplied the dance show as he does so often at Sad's.

Their next Raleigh show is May 1st, 6 pm, at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.

Definitely the kind of act that would be cool for the kids but the adults could enjoy as adults.
